Like in 2016, Farmcontrol was invited to participate at the X Jornadas de Cunicultura of ASPOC, which took place on October, 23rd and 24th in Ponte Lima, Portugal, with the theme “Precision Cuniculture”.
Francisca Martins, Farmcontrol Sales Director, addressed the theme “The Smartfarm Revolution” demonstrating the advantages of the technology not only for producers, but also for consumers: real-time monitoring and control with automation and alarms; greater sustainability and measurement of resources such as water, feed and environment; and the constant data analysis that contributes to more efficient and better results, and to the correct verification of new investments. Last but not the least, it was mentioned the traceability and the need of control all the production chain which contributes to increase the consumer confidence, as well as demonstrate the results of production and control of the entire process.
One of the points of the presentation was the verification of the concept of “Smart Data” which considers the importance of producers receiving quality information with objective data to decide and act in order to improve the animal production management.
In 2016, Farmcontrol mentioned the importance of collecting and monitoring data. Evolution continues and considers the integration of these same data with the essential production resources, obtaining information that is increasingly framed and of greater value. The inclusion of characteristics of each sector, stock of animals and feed, as well as objective production curves, predefined tasks and events have huge advantages not only for real-time management, but also for their analysis. Thus, it was concluded that the revolution of intelligent livestock farming continues.
Farmcontrol congratulates ASPOC, as well as all those involved, for this initiative and the chosen theme.
