On the December, 21th, following the monthly meeting, Farmcontrol Iberia visited Portugal. Across the opportunity to look to the current year, we also visited two success projects from the year 2017: Quinta da Azenha and Socampestre.
Quinta da Azenha it’s a farm of poultry production with four pavilions. With a system of environmental monitoring and control, in addition to scales in the silos, allows a detailed analysis of each group of animals.
Marco Barros, General Director from Interaves, explains “Animal production is today an activity in constant scientific and technology evolution, always aiming the production costs optimization and taking into account that we are in increasingly competitive markets and increasingly at an international level. Considering those facts and being intention of the companies to value and value their products, it is important to find tools that allow a strict control of their farms, but mostly that monitor and register all data that can negative or positively influence the farms’ technical indexes and, consequently, economical results.”
Next month, know Socampestre project and the importance of monitoring and control in all production chain.
